Và bây giờ, tính mạng của Percy rơi vào vòng xoáy nguy hiểm, và cậu phải chuẩn bị cho một cuộc phiêu lưu lớn, với những giông bão hiểm nguy đang chờ dịp trút xuống thế giới. Ba người bạn cùng nhau bước vào một cuộc phiêu lưu xuyên lục địa, từ cánh cổng dẫn lên đỉnh Olympus nằm phía trên New York 600 tầng lầu, cho tới Âm Ty rực lửa nằm dưới Hollywood.

Chặng cuối của chuyến hành trình này chứa đựng vận mệnh của cả thế giới và tính mệnh mẹ đẻ Percy, người vốn đang bị giam giữ dưới âm phủ....
